Description
Why you should never say, “Are you really a data scientist?” Onebridge Solution Architect and Data Analyst William McLellan tackles the controversial debate of what is and isn't data science. He discusses how to take a scientific approach to data and how the empirical method (Listen, Ask, Test, Decide, Act - repeat) applies to the world of data.

About the Host
Bill McLellan loves Indy since moving here from St. Louis to join Onebridge as a Sr. Consultant and BI Solution Architect. He has 15 years of experience in marketing, analytics, and business intelligence – having majored in philosophy. Imagine that. He believes Tableau has been the most powerful gamechanger in BI over the last decade, and as an R enthusiast he loves how Tableau is integrating R and Python for visualizing predictive analytics. He lives in Fishers with his family and a howling lab-beagle mix aptly named Whisper. Described by no one as a very stable genius, when not playing with open data or his kids, Bill likes to drink whisky, smoke cigars, and write poetry. Follow him on Twitter: @datahumanist.
