Alteryx’s #1 spot in the Ability to Execute dimension of the Magic Quadrant is well deserved. It’s surprising they weren’t also #1 in the Completeness of Vision dimension, given that they offer all that it takes to truly enable a data science function – including things like data discovery and having a solid solution for deploying models and monitoring models once they are developed.
In general, the Alteryx Connect and Promote platforms don’t get nearly enough credit for the types of problems they solve. Alteryx is much more than Designer and Server. It may take some time for the market to appreciate the evolution of the Alteryx platform. Last year, they delivered the general availability of Alteryx Promote, which allows enterprises to deploy, manage, and monitor production-based predictive and machine learning models. They also introduced Visualytics, which provides real-time, interactive visualizations throughout the analytic workflow.
Recently, Gartner also acknowledged Alteryx as a 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Data Science and Machine-Learning Platforms, a recognition given to vendors in this market based on reviews by verified end-user professionals, taking into account both the number of reviews and overall user ratings.
